Surprised By Love

"Love wins" is the motto of my church. So it's been interesting to see America pick up that phrase in support of alternate marriage. As I was discussing the concept of "hating the sin and loving the sinner" with a client, I talked about how there are so many elements to love that are very surprising. How are we showing the surprising side of love?

When Jesus loved people they were always surprised at what His love called Him to do. And there was definitely no canned response. His love was tailored to what specific people needed at the time. He stayed present and alert to what was spiritually evident at the time. He served people with His love. Has God ever surprised you with His love? Do you need to be surprised by love again? Just ask for it! And how can you surprise someone with love today?

All I want for summer is...

All I want for summer is...

I enjoyed my little writing break courtesy of my smart kiddos. And including their blog takeover, this has already been a summer to remember. We've been enjoying the 100 days of summer challenge (see below) and providing a foster home for a beautiful puppy in transition. We've been giving and growing together. I couldn't have made a better plan than what God had in mind. And all I want for the rest of these few months is to continue learning and loving each other.

I've never felt quite this much urgency to enjoy my children and I'm glad I'm living in the moment well enough to recognize how much they're changing and life is changing. The time to be together and enjoy each other is NOW. Being present is a full time job! It requires shaking off the fears of the past and worries about the future. May you fully enjoy your employment called life.

Morning Meds, Minor Edition (Part 2)

Morning Meds 3.8
I asked my children to write for you these past two weeks. I asked them to write something inspirational. One meaning we came up with is if someone's sad you can cheer them up. I said there should also be a lesson in there, like something you've learned. This is Christian's take.

Morning Meds, Minor Edition (Part 2)
By Christian Jordan
if someone was sad I would do something to cheer them up and there are some things I can do. I could teach them how to walk correctly. Some people don't know how to walk. I could also surprise them with a present. That'll turn the frown upside down. I could also take them to a place to buy them something that changes their sadness. Maybe I could teach them about God and His love for them. Those are the things I would do to make someone feel happy. I learned that if you are sad or lost, a person can take you home. God knows how well behaved you have been. Man looks at the outside appearance, but God looks at the heart.

The Days (Good and Bad)
By Michaela Jordan

There are certain days in life, that are filled with pain and strife.
And there are certain days, where something destroys your ways.
Let your problems float away like bubbles, because there are days with no troubles.
Yes there are problem free days, it’s true.
Just don’t let the bad days ruin YOU being YOU.

Nowhere to Hide

Morning Meds 3.6
Nowhere to Hide

A new business colleague of mine just posted this, "it seems like several people are on a mission to destroy my self esteem..." To which I replied "Welcome to entreprenuership. Where there's nowhere to hide..." What I meant was, we are our businesses. The hits that we take and refuse to let go of, are the hits our businesses will definitely take.
But I hope you know I didn't leave her there! "There's nowhere to hide, but there's lots of love for you to run to when you're ready. You are loved by many."

I hope that you remember for the hits that you take, that many people have your back. Today at any moment either you need someone or someone needs you. Let's open ourselves up to that today.

Morning Meds Mashup

Morning Meds 3.5
You may have noticed my new program offering for Network Marketers called My Network Marketing Mashup. I was thinking about the word "mashup" and how at times, life may feel like it's trying to crush us and mash us into pieces. Have you ever had a strong feeling like that and realized later that you were very wrong?  You realize that those uncomfortable  feelings were signs of you growing and stretching.
We hope that our work with direct sales people will help to blend the best of their company with the best of who they are. That we will push and stretch them beyond the comfort zones of their companies to the develop support within the industry.
My mashup wish for you is that you could blend the best of who you will be with the best of who you are right now and enjoy the journey!
