Morning Meds, Day 3

Congratulations...You're an author!

So guess what I found out last week Thursday? I'm writing a book...Yeah, seriously! Actually, I knew that, but I didn't know I was writing it now! But yep, I am. I've been taking notes for it for awhile but just this morning in fact, have started on the chapters, so here's the (first draft of the) introduction...thought you might enjoy it.

I consider self-knowledge, self-revelation and self-discovery to be among the most elegant of arts. I wholly agree with the maxim, "You can never get to where you're going, until you know where you are."

I intend to go somewhere...and, with your consent, take you with me! So where shall we go?

How about to a land flowing with milk and honey...a land of promises--grapes the size of golf balls and watermelons the size of car tires!!!

And why must we go together? Because of the giants the size of warring angels (Yeah, I think we'll bring them too!)

Morning Meds, Day 2

Unlike the weather, seasons are determined by revelation. If you change your wisdom, you will change your life. And wisdom is quite different that information or intelligence, wisdom is its proper application. I was taught this by Mike Murdoch and now it’s being proven daily in my life and my client’s lives (where frankly, I can see it more clearly than in my own.)

So I saw this video yesterday (thanks Temwa Phiri), and it’s an awesome compilation of information that began a head-on collision with a fear that was uncovered by spending some time in visioning my future.  (Thanks LeeAnne Piano for challenging me to spend ten minutes a day picturing my intentions coming to pass). The funny thing about this fear, was that you’d think I’d be over this by now. I think I’ve been on the fast track in healing from my divorce (it’s only been since April), but when you’re just so glad that someone’s out of your life, there are things you don’t consider.

I’m opening myself up to love again and in this visioning I’m picturing being told things I’ve been told before and I’m thinking…hmm…the last person lied and I’m supposed to believe you because…and I get stuck. And I see now how people get stuck and don’t want to love again. So instead of applying this video to business, which I don’t need to do, or family or finances, which I don’t need to do, I applied it to love and trust.  Now that’s wisdom. And I feel icicles melting in my heart, and I’m getting ready to put on my spiritual bikini…because the sun’s coming out. A season is changing.

The unspeakable

Jack Nicholson was right in A Few Good Men. .. there's stuff you just can't talk about openly. Sometimes, I just want to share my true heart about something, mostly because I've seen how my sharing and opening up has helped my coaching clients; but there are certain topics and experiences that don't bless people until you are on the other side of them. How do you hold those things in when you're a person that learns best by talking to others? And even if that's not you, how do you deal with the unspeakable, when others,  "Just can't handle the truth?"

In thinking about this idea this morning I knew that this is why the phrase "Try God" came into existence. This is where a Higher Power idea becomes very practical. In these situations where you can't work this out with another & you don't have the Wisdom even in your own spirit to solve it. In this morning meditation I remind you of a third option that I experienced in a Triune way--

Authority from God the Father
Execution from God the Son and
Follow through from God the Holy Spirit.

This concept came from my pastor at last night's New Year's Eve service, but they just encapsulated the experience of my heart this past year.

And Happy New Year From the corner of Felicity and Ta-Tanisha. .. May you turn many exciting corners yourself this year... And may we experience God in the way He desires to be known and in a way that we deeply need.
