Morning Meds, Day 15

Morning Meds, Day 15
Sweet Nothings

There is a song no ear can hear, a melody in the silence…

Music is a near constant in my house. I never thought of the benefits to us until I read a study that talked about the importance of having living things in the home, that it was very good for us as breathing, changing organisms to have that represented in our homes through plants, candles, fountains and/or music.
Music is indeed alive and sets an atmosphere.  So much so that every once in awhile I can’t listen to anymore, not even instrumental.  Sometimes my spirit is whispering so quietly that I have to tune everything else out, with a fast, with a music break.
This week has been marked as a time of stillness for me and I’m taking the time to reflect and know God more intimately. Just like we’ll often take a journey which makes us appreciate our home a little more somehow. Sometimes we must play the opposite for our definition to emerge.

This is my first time embracing this season because I enjoy dancing and singing so much, but how else is change to occur if I don’t step outside of this comfort zone for a time? And sharing it with you with the possibility of encouraging you makes this song of silence even sweeter.

Morning Meds, Day 14

Morning Meds, Day 14
Blog Mash-up
Recently I revived my blog page, www.AWiseWoman1ncesaid.blogspot.com. I’ve added a serial portion to it where I post weekly on Facebook and Twitter. In it, I post what I call “Practical Inspiration.” Especially if you’re not on either social media site, I’d love for you to follow this page by clicking above and then “Join this Site” right at the top. This week I will give you a few highlights from past posts to whet your appetite. I wish you could be here with me now, I can never tell anyone about the page without laughing…who starts a blog of selfie quotes? Well, maybe it’s not so rare! Perhaps that’s where we got the phrase, “It’s like I always say…”

Next level: Better than knowing everything, you know what you don't know.

Today’s quote is a love poem written on reflection of this Good Friday.  Again, you can read it and others by clicking www.AWiseWoman1nceSaid.blogspot.com.  Don’t forget to “Join This Site” and not miss another week!

Morning Meds, Day 13

Day 13
Winter's Been Hard on Us

On my Sat. morning run, it was easy to see the effect this winter had on my beloved forest preserve. The trees looked beat up, and the ground was strewn with debris. The pretty weather could not cover up the reminders of a long difficult winter.
Do you know someone experiencing winter in their heart? I've been thinking about my community, single parents and the formerly married. I've been thinking about how life takes from us, more than we thought we had to give, and how it often leaves us barren and broken like those trees.
And I've been wondering what I can give to them. On the one year anniversary of my divorce, as I experience springtime in my businesses and my heart, I know it's because I planted seeds of faith despite the cold winds of fear that blew. I fought for me and my family. I guess I now want to fight for them too.
I'm conducting market research to find out exactly what my community needs. How can they use a coaches services? Counselors can help them reconcile their past, but what do they need to move forward and away from winter? If you know someone who's not thriving in their single parenthood or is burdened by the scars of their divorce, please refer them to me for this free 30 min conversation. Even if it doesn't help them, it may help someone else.
Pass on my email or phone number with my gratitude. And may we all appreciate the warmer weather a little more this year than ever. We're all survivors of a sort. ..now it's time to thrive!
