Morning Meds, Day 24

How Much More
Sparrow Living--Part 3

I have a number of awesome friends, but one in particular has shaped my year.

Lee Ann Piano teaches something called Vision Driven Success. Though I have heard of athletes that see themselves performing at high levels and then manifesting that very thing, I've never thought to apply it to my own life and dreams.

In the actual doing of it I will say it's harder than it would appear. You actually get to simulate your life and approach, your deepest fears of success and what you feel worthy and capable of. It's pretty heady stuff. I haven't attempted it without the safety belt of prayer...but wow is it worth it!

This is where I'm learning "how much more" God wants to care for me than the sparrow and "how much more" He wants to adorn me over the lilies of the field.  Never have I been more sure, and never has fear had less grip on me when it comes to this.

I want to highly recommend Lee Ann's training and applying this principle to your life.

Sparrows may be a lowly little bird, but God cares for them and if they can fly...So can we!

And I've got one more bird up my sleeve...

Morning Meds, Day 23

Morning Meds Day 23
"Sparrow Living"
Part 2
I've still been having these "sparrow" discussions with God and as I looked at scripture again He turned my attention from the barrenness of the sparrow (and the barren areas of my own life) to how he privileges the creation that He made in His own image.

Jesus said three times that we are more valuable to Him than the sparrow and birds that He cares for (Matt. 6:26, 10:31, Luke 13:7). His question to me was "How much more?"...How much more will He care for you?

How much more does the Father want to care for me in these dry areas? And how do we go from barren to blessings. This could be in finances, patience, relationships...any area at all.

Today may we make the steps of being honest with ourselves and God about dry areas of our lives that we haven't yet admitted to. And may we allow visions of "how much more" God would like to add to them.

I think the Morning (Meds) birds will be singing to us once again :)

Morning Meds, Day 22

Morning Meds

During 30 Days of Communion for Financial Freedom

You shed your blood for me on that tree now I am free
You shed your blood for me on that tree now I am free
Free to love and despise the shame
Free to conquer in your name
You shed your blood for me on that tree now I am free
Free to come when you call
Free to break through limiting walls
Thank you for shedding your blood for me on that tree
I am free

Something Biblical is taking place in me.  One of the assistant pastors at my church speaks about when you're serious in beating the devil over something, sometimes you can take communion about it. It's almost like challenging him to a showdown... don't you dare cross the bloodline. I am doing this over the financial well being of my family and before a dollar began to hit my account something changed in me. The fears I've had are gone and it's not circumstantial. .. it's positional. They say it's all about who you know and I know who I am and Who's I am more deeply. I'm shouting before the Jericho walls come down...
Who's with me?  :)

Morning Meds, Day 21

Morning Meds Day 21

"Sparrow Living"

I like to live and look like a rock star! And yet, God’s been talking to me about sparrow living recently. Like, “His eye is on the sparrow…and I know He watches me…” kind of sparrow. Sounds like the opposite of rock star, and when I looked up information on the sparrow, then I was sure. What makes them unique is that they are non-descript in many ways. In terms of their eating habits and the way they are provided for, they eat the low hanging fruit and whatever they can scratch, with both claws for. The description of how they get their food sounded a bit like a dance, but that was the most romantic description you could get.

Paul said, “I have learned the secret of being content and being in want…I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13. Paul, Christianity’s biggest rock star, writing 2/3 of the New Testament, wrote these words and encouraged us that he knows how it feels to be uncertain because of our wants, but to be certain because we are cared for by Him!
